07/06/2016 : June Sale Highlights

We had another busy saleroom in June, with lots of buyers turning out to bid in our specialist toy sale.

Chinese Bowl

We had a great selection of lots in our June sale, but the stand out lot was this beautiful Chinese terracotta and turquoise glazed bowl which fetched £3000. Another highlight in our Oriental section was a pair of terracotta nodding head dolls, which brought £320.

Georges Lavroff

This Art Deco Georges Lavroff figure generated a lot of interest and some fierce competition from the phone lines resulted in a hammer price of £1350 for this stunning piece.

Our paintings section was well stocked with a variety of different artworks but this beautiful watercolour entitled 'Scheherazade'by Helen Sinclair toppped them all to sell for £600.

Our toy section did very well, with this sample set of Timpo animals and soldiers marching well past their estimate to fetch a hammer price of £640!

Tin Cars

These Kingsbury tin plate cars also did well, with bidders online and in the room driving the final price of £500 and elsewhere in the toy section a boxed Hornby Meccano Princess Elizabeth 6201 LMS model train brought £620.

Our next sale is on the 6th July and features a specialist silver section. For information on this or for any other enquiries please contact the team on 0151 709 8070.
