06/11/2014 : Beatlemania Causes Fireworks..!

At the Liverpool Saleroom this month, we hosted a pop-tastic auction to a packed saleroom. Beatles memorabilia proved popular as ever, as a drawing by none other than Liverpool legend John Lennon sold to a fellow scouser in the music industry, for a healthy 1,400.

The November sale at our Liverpool saleroom coincided with a crisp and clear bonfire night, with authenticated Beatles memorabilia really lighting the blue touch paper. An extremely rare John Lennon drawing of his character ‘Frank’ topped the section and sold for a very impressive £1400, an autograph album page bearing his signature and ‘doodle’ realised £300, a quantity of Beatles albums £600 and a further collection of 45rpm discs made a very impressive £500.

Elsewhere in the sale a suite of 18ct gold jewellery sold for £1450, a Victorian 18ct gold open face pocket watch realised £880 and proving that items of local interest are still available, a very rare Everton FC dinner menu from 1929, signed by Dixie Dean and many others went under the hammer for £380.
