08/08/2017 : August Sale Highlights

A roundup of results from our August Toy Auction

We had another fantastic sale in August, with record numbers of bidders online and a visit from David Dickinson and his Real Deal team ensured the saleroom was packed too!

One of the star lots was this 18ct gold half hunter gentlemen's pocket watch by L.W. Zimmerman of Liverpool, which sold for £1700 and in our jewellery section, a platinum and diamond ring sold for £5900.

In the toy section we had plenty of lots which performed well, but the clear runaway success was this Matchbox garage and toys, which sold for £1250, racing past its estimate of £50-£70 and a collection of N gauge trains and track steamed along to bring £460.

The ceramics section also did very well, with a Meissen porcelain figure group, 'Capture of the Infant Triton' bringing £720 and a Zsolnay Pecs pink flower-shaped tea service bringing £680.

Elsewhere in the sale, a rare WWI tank crew splatter mask sold for £700 and an Edward VII hallmarked silver twin-handled presentation trophy with repoussé floral decoration and cow finial brought £1600.

Our next sale is September 6th - Antiques & Collectors' Items with Cameras and Optical Equipment

The deadline for consigning items is Wednesday August 23rd.

We hope to see you there!
