 It’s time for our September auction with lots to include Photographic & Optical Instruments, Jewellery, Silver, Furniture, Clocks, Paintings and Prints, Decorative Arts, Collectables, Ceramics, Glass, Coins, Militaria, Sporting Memorabilia, Oriental and Asian Works of Art, Watches and more.


We have some great furniture lots to kick off the sale, including a rosewood, chrome and glass drinks trolley by Merrow Associates (lot 69), a set of four chrome wirework dining chairs by Harry Bertoia (lot 120) and a Chinese hardwood altar table (lot 1).


 Our Oriental section is also well-represented, with this wonderful Qianlong baluster vase with enamel decoration of peonies and finches (lot 361) and a pair of late 19th century/early 20th century Japanese cloisonné vases with hen and chick decoration (lot 360) being amongst the star lots. 


There are many fantastic lots in our Clocks and Watches sections as well, including this Louis XVI style lyre-shaped clock and garniture (lot 204) and a 19th century French architectural brass mantel clock with dial decorated with hand-painted scenes of an Indian hunt (lot 199). We also have a 9ct gold 1950s Rolex wristwatch (lot 820) and a 9ct gold ladies' wristwatch by Marvin (lot 833).


Highlights of our camera section include this Franke & Heidecke Rolleiflex twin lens reflex with a Yashica viewing lens no.2 and a Rollei-H1 lens (lot 540), a J Lancaster & Son, Birmingham 'The 1891 Extra Special Patent Plate Camera' and three plates (lot 507) and a Pentax Takumar 500mm 4.5 telephoto lens (lot 548).


Elsewhere in the sale, we have over 160 lots of jewellery, with this beautiful Art Deco platinum diamond and sapphire hexagonal cluster ring (lot 650) being one of the standout lots. Our Decorative Arts section includes a bronze sculpture of the Madonna and child (lot 413) and an 18th century Flemish diptych ivory panel with carvings depicting the thirteenth Station of the Cross (lot 420) and we also have a Copeland circular charger decorated with fruit and nuts, signed by Charles Ferdinand Hurton (lot 413) and many more fantastic lots.
