It’s full steam ahead for our October auction with lots to include Maritime Antiques and Collectables, Furniture, Clocks, Paintings and Prints, Decorative Arts, Collectables, Ceramics, Glass, Oriental and Eastern Art, Militaria, Sporting Items, Coins, Watches, Jewellery, Silver and more.


Heading up our maritime section, we have not one but two Siebe Gorman divers’ helmets, as well as a pair of portholes from the SS Laurentic and maritime oil paintings by Arthur Wilde Parsons and P C Steenhouwer.

This wonderful visitors’ book from the Port of Alexandria dates from the 1930s-40s and contains many autographs including Lt. Gen. and Commander of the Eighth Army B. L. Montgomery (8/9/42), Lt. Com. G. B. Roope of HMS Glowworm, Lt. Com. D. Fraser of HMS Oswald and many others for HMS Ark Royal, Liverpool, Penelope, etc.; as well as numerous civilian autographs.


 There is an extensive numismatic collection which includes this lot of fifteen Banque du Congo Belge 5 francs notes from 1924 and 1926, as well as other banknotes and coins from around the world.


This beautiful Savonarola chair is one of the highlights in our furniture section and elsewhere in the sale we have a gentlemen’s Rolex 2003 stainless steel Oyster Perpetual Date wristwatch and a large Victorian hallmarked silver tray by William Mammatt & Sons.
