A WWII log book belonging to PTE E.E. Balmer, with photographs documenting his time in the armed services, visiting war graves, various scenes of action, with comrades etc, and cuttings pasted to the back of the book relating to the time when he was a prisoner of war in Germany, also cuttings from the camp newspaper, 'The Camp', also a smaller album handwritten within 'Belonging To E.E. Balmer PTE Lamsdorf-Stallag 344 Ober Silesia Germany July 26th 1943', with a quantity of photographs relating to his time in captivity with other soldiers and his time taking part in amature dramatics while in captivity, also notes on the date of his capture July 29th 1942 at El-Alamein P.O.W. no.221066, Army No. 4467672, also documented is his time in various prisoner of war camps from 1942 until his release in 1945 (2).
