Condition Report

The larger platter has a firing crack approx 2cm to the rim, some fritting, surface scratches and natural pitting, the example decorated with two birds has extensive and poor restoration throughout, the third example has some fritting, surface scratches and natural blemishes, the fourth again some surface scratches, fritting to the rim, one tiny sliver chip, and the smallest example has natural pitting and surface scratches, and some fritting to the rim.

Condition Report

The imari platter has some surface scratches and pitting, some slight rubbing to the gilding otherwise ok, the famille jaune charger has some surface scratches, rubbing to the decoration to the rim, a poor repaired 1cm x 4mm chip spuring a hairline crack approx 8cm, otherwise ok, the jardiniere has an area of restoration running around it and also a crack to the body (see additional photo).

Some light surface scratches and a few natural pit marks to the glaze, but overall in good condition. No visible signs of damage, wear commensurate with age.

There is tow 8cm hair line cracks spuring from the rim, a very thin sliver chip to the foot rim, some surface scratches and natural pitting, and some loss to the gilding on the decoration.

The plate has some staining and fritting to the rim, also some staining to the reverse, natural pit marks and some surface scratches, one bowl has a star crack and hairline crack to the centre of the underside, fritting to the rim, some light surface scratches and a glaze flaw to the interior, also two small rim chips, the second bowl has two fine hairline crack each approx 5cm, two small rim chips to the reverse of the bowl, a small rim chip to the font and some fritting.
