There are many ways of buying at auction - in fact it has never been easier.
Simply register on the website and find Partridge & Bray. You will be able to view the catalogue with photos and will have the opportunity to click and bid live during the auction if you wish. An extra 3% is added to the buyer’s premium for this service.
Viewing Day:
This is the day prior to the sale from 12-8pm and are open to the public to inspect the items in the auction. Illustrated catalogues with descriptions and guide prices are available for purchase and are recommended.Registration:
Prospective purchasers are required to provide their name, full address and contact details. ID may also be required.Ways of buying:
Attend the Sale:
Bid in person, the traditional method. Enjoy the atmosphere and theatre of the live auction and give yourself the best chance of securing the items you are interested in.Leave a Bid - Commission Bidding:
If you cannot attend the sale but would like to bid on item/s, we can bid on your behalf. This is known as a commission bid and is a free service. You can fill in a commission bid form with details of the lot number/s you would like to bid on and your maximum bid.You can also leave bids through our online catalogue.
We execute the bids as cheaply as possible depending on reserves and other bids.
No liability rests with Partridge & Bray and instructions to buy will not be accepted.
Live Internet Bidding:
You can bid live from anywhere in the world via www.the-saleroom.comSimply register on the website and find Partridge & Bray. You will be able to view the catalogue with photos and will have the opportunity to click and bid live during the auction if you wish. An extra 3% is added to the buyer’s premium for this service.
Phone Bidding:
If you have a serious interest in an item/s and are prepared to bid in excess of the guide price you can also bid by telephone. You register your interest with us and a member of staff will call you a few minutes before your lot is offered to enable you to bid live via the telephone.Buyer's Premium:
A buyer’s premium of 20% (inclusive of VAT) is charged on all lots purchased in the saleroom.
This means an addition of 20% will be made to the hammer price.
Payment and Collection:
We accept the following methods of payment:- Cash Guaranteed cheques only
- Banker’s Drafts & Building Society cheques
- Debit Cards
- Credit Cards (3% surcharge)
All items purchased must be collected by 12 noon on the day following the sale.
Items that remain
uncollected will be moved to our storage facility and storage charges may apply at the rate of
£2/lot/day for small items and £5/lot/day for furniture, backdated to the date of sale.
